Ok- so I'm now obsessed with this brand. Fanny and Jessy so sound like such cheeky little kids, their sports luxe designs with just enough of a hint of grunge and leather is SPECTACULAR!

Local Rascals – Fanny and Jessy

I love how Fannyand Jessy just sound like two cheeky best friends in an Enid Blyton book. Actually, cheeky seems the most appropriate word to use when talking about a label that describes itself with having a 'signature sexed-up tomboy aesthetic.' The duo only graduated from London Collage of Fashion in 2009 and have already been worn by proper celebs, appeared in Vogue Italia and is the staple of cool kids about town. I just love the casual volume teamed with the laser cut leather… being a tomboy has never been so hot.

A Touch of the Old School

No matter what happens in the fashion world, I will never be able to get over the 90's Versace look. Scarf prints in bright colours mixed with animals and sequins are just who I am. No one does animal like our dearest Versace. Some people may say Euro trash, but I say those people need to get over beige! haha!

Hot and Local - Moses Powers

Local artist, photographer and all round cool cat Moses Powers creates images that tell you a story - I just love the fresh vibe in his editorial work (check out Bullet Magazine.) His abstracted collages draw you in and make you feel like you are worshipping at an alter and he does some kick ass fashion show production for the likes of Vivienne Westwood, Temperley and KTZ.

All things British - Mother of Pearl

YESSSSS,  it's the Queens Jubilee extra long weekend, so that means 4 days of street parties, bunting and massive jugs of Pimms. Ha, okay that's me stereotyping everything British but what I'm actually going to do over the next four days is celebrate all the local talent that I love.

I first stumbled across British label Mother of Pearl on one of my regular window shopping visits to Liberty London. What drew me straight over to the MoP rack was a print of a mean monkey strangling a parrot.  It made me laugh (ok, I have a weird sense of humour.)

It turns out that every season designer Maia Norman works with brilliant artists to produce unique prints for each collection. I'm officially obsessed. I love the concept, I love the sports- luxe vibe...  and I need to have that mean monkey.

Neon Cool
