Beware Of A Man’s Shadow And A Bee’s Sting - Tara Dougans

Time to get back to it. It has been 6 days since my return to Melbourne and between sleeping, socialising and sleeping, I have not had a moment for any serious blog time. The shame!!! Not to fear, I have got myself some serious wifi and am totally back on it.

It is firmly established that I love illustration, fashion, ice cream and of late, have become totally obsessed with giffs. How is it within three minutes on-line after travelling half way across the world I discover Tara Dougans who remarkably manages to combine three of my four loves in some kind of killer illustration-giff-fashion-mash-up madness?

Commissioned by the first London Men's Fashion week, Tara has taken stand out men's catwalk looks and created these beautifully stoic, Frieda Khalo-esque beings.

These illustrations are painfully static yet move... beautifully dark yet humorous and totally seduce you into another world.

Jet Lag From Hell

It's all true... I find myself back in Melbourne and it is nice to be home (albeit, a little odd.)

With that said I'm not dealing with the jet lag very well. You are awake and asleep at all the wrong times. Your hungry yet queasy and spend the time you should be dancing walking around like a zombie. I'm convinced that I will never sleep like a normal person again, so expect odd things to come out of my brain for the next few weeks. Oh, did I tell you that it takes weeks for me to get back to normal... I really don't know how some people do it (ha, obviously being dramatic but bad sleep always = bad times)

BUT, enough moaning... a little jet lag is a small price to pay to be able travel, explore and run a muck on the other side of the world.

Here's to everything being so familiar yet soooo strange all at the same time and a bit of sun to boot!!!

Times Are Changing - Visual Break

It's all changing for me next week. After 8 years in London, I need to go home to Melbourne for a bit. SHOCK HORROR!!!

After a week of packing my life in boxes and saying goodbye to some of my bestest friends ever... I totally need a bit of visual loveliness to get me through these last few days!

Eeeeek, I'm so scared yet excited at the same time! This adventure will be interesting ... will totally keep you kids posted.
